Gosaikunda Trek takes you to the holy lake of Gosain kunda, also known as frozen lake. The Gosain kunda Lake attracts thousands of Hindu pilgrims in month of September. Gosaikunda lake is located at an altitude of 4,380 m (14,370 ft) with a surface of 34 acres. This lake is a unique one because it remains frozen for six months in winter and melts to for Trishuli river. Hence, this lake is also known as frozen lake. We have to cross a challenging Lauribina La pass (4,610m) during this trek.
