Jomsom Muktinath trek is one of the most popular trek in the Annapurna region. The trek begins from Pokhara following the Annapurna trekking trail. Jomsom Muktinath trek takes you beyond the Himalaya. Muktinath itself is one of the biggest Hindus Holy Temple. Jomsom Muktinath area lies in Tibetan plateau also known as Nepalese desert areas. The area around Jomsom, Kagbeni and Muktinath is very similar to the Tibetan high deserts. The visit around this area will give you a glimpse of what Tibet looks like.

Day 1
Kathmandu to Pokhara: There are two different options to reach Pokhara, either drive about 7 hours (200km.) by tourist bus or take half an hour flight (costs extra). 3 stars category hotel will be provided.
Day 2
Pokhara to Tikhedhunga: (1577m) approx a hour and half drive by car to Birethanti and trek continues 5hrs /6Km to Tikhedhunga. Night stay at guest house.
Day 3
Tirkhedhunga to Ghorepani: (2855m) trek about 6hrs /5Km. Enjoy waterfalls, flora-fauna many species birds, animals, Rhododendron forest (Nepalese national flower). Night stay at the guest house.
Day 4
Ghorepani to Tatopani: (1189m) Early morning visit to Poonhill for sunrise and stunning view of the Himalayas including 6th and 8th world highest mountain Dhaulagiri and Annapurna first. Trek continues about 6 hrs /17Km to Tadapani. Night stay at guest house.
Day 5
Tatopani to Jomsom(2720m.): No Trekking on this day because we will take a Jeep ride. Driving about 5 hours /43Km. Night stay at guest house.
Day 6
Jomsom to Muktinath (3800m.) trek continues about 5 hours /18Km or drive about an hour. Night stay at guest house.
Day 7
Muktinath to Jomsom (2800m) trek continues about 4 hours /18Km or drive about an hour. Night stay at guest house.
Day 8
Jomsom to Pokhara 20 minutes morning flight with trans Himalayan views on the side to Pokhara. Explore the Pokhara city. Night stay at 3 stars category hotel.
Day 9
Pokhara to Kathmandu: Either 7 hours drive by tourist coach or 30 minutes flight to Kathmandu. Flight cost is extra.

The Beginning part of the trek offers culturally and naturally different taste and takes you through the Gurung and Magar villages where you can learn about their culture and tradition. This part of Nepal is known as a home of British Gurkha soldier. The later part of Jomsom Muktinath trek takes you through the desert like feature of the Mustang. This is a great trek where you can see the lush green land and dry desert land within a span of couple of days.

The stunning panorama view of world highest mountains like Mt. Dhaulagiri (6th highest 8167m.) and Annapurna first (8th highest 8091m.) and other snow capped mountain could be seen specially from Poon hill Top which lies on the way to Jomsom Muktinath trek. Poon Hill top is popular for sun rise / sunset view of the mountians.

Pokhara, is the gate way city to start Jomsom Muktinath trek. The city itself is one of the beautiful and clean cities in Nepal. The close view of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna and Mardi Himalayan ranges could be seen from Pokhara.
