This kind of over land Lhasa and Everest base camp tour is one of the most popular tours for those people who have keen interest to explore Lhasa and Everest base camp from Tibet side. This tour will start by flight to Lhasa and drive out all the way to Kathmandu. We mostly organize this kind of tour on group joining basis to make the Lhasa tour cheaper but we can arrange private trip upon request.

Day 1
Kathmandu – Lhasa 3650m: Fly to Gonggar Airport, Tibet and transfer to Lhasa city overnight at Hotel.

Day 2
Lhasa sightseeing tour: Visit the Potala (winter palace of Dalai Lama), Norbulinka (summer palace of Dalai lama), Drepung and Sera Monastery, Jorkhang Temple and Barkhor Bazar overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3
Lhasa exploration day.

Day 4
Drive Lhasa to Gyantse (259 kms): Drive to Gyantse crossing over the Kamba La pass (4794m) and Koro La Pass (5010m). Via Lake Yamdrok Tso overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5
Drive Gyantse to Shigatse (90 kms) 3900m: Visit the Khumbhum Stupa and Phalkor Monastery at Gyantse. A pleasant drive about 2 hrs to Shigatse. PM: Sightseeing tours of the Tashilumpo Monastery and free Tibetan market, overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 6
Drive Shigatse to Xegar (244 kms) 3900m: Driving about 8 hrs to Xegar, sightseeing tour with incredible scenery, Tibetan villages with its innocent people and many more overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 7
Drive Xegar to Dza Rambuk (60 kms) 4920m: Drive over rocky terrain by 4WD Land Cruiser to the village of Dza Rangphu overnight stay at guest house

Day 8
Everest base camp excursion (5090m): Trekking about two and half hrs from Rongbuk Monastery will lead you to the base camp of the crown of the world. Explore the Base Camp and the Rangphu Glacier, back to lodge. Later in the afternoon, return to Tingri (approx. 96 kms/3hrs) overnight stay at guest house.

Day 9
Drive Tingri TO Nyalam 214 kms (3750m): Drive all the way downhill to Nyalam crossing over Lalung La (5082m) and Nyalam (3800m) overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 10
Drive Nyalam to Kathmandu 123 kms (1300m): Drive downhill to Zhangmu and to the Friendship Bridge where transportation awaits for the groups for final journey to Kathmandu.

Lhasa is the administrative capital of Tibet and it is the 2nd most populated city on the Plateau. It is located at an altitude of 3,490 m and is one of the city located on the highest altitude. Instead of fly in/out of Lhasa, this tour this is much more adventurous because of beautiful flora and fauna Himalayan scenery, crossing over high passes etc along the way. When we get to Lhasa, we will have a chance to visit historical sights of Lhasa such as Norbu Linka (the former summer palace of Dalai Lama), Potala (the former winter palace of Dalai Lama), Bharkor bazaar (the biggest market of Tibetan people), Drepung Monastery (biggest monastery in Lhasa), Sera monastery (The popular Monastery in Lhasa, Tibet, Jokhang temple, the most sacred and oldest temple in Tibet etc.
