The Annapurna area of Nepal is one of the most popular place for trekkers in Nepal. Its trail takes you to the Annapurna mountain range located at central Nepal. The trekking length vary from 150 to 250 kilometers depending on the start point and use of the vehicle.

The Annapurna trek takes you to the highest altitude of 5416m at Thorung La. This Annapurna trek encircles the Annapurna massif with some stunning view of more than 12 peaks and mountains on the way.

The most recommended way to do the circuit is anti clockwise as this way has a slower altitude gain every day for safer crossing of Thorung La pass.

The view during the trek includes Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Tilicho peak, Gangapurna, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri and other mountain peaks ranging for 6000m to 8000m.

The start point of Annapurna trek is generally Besisahar or Bhulbhule. The town of Besisahar can be reached in about 6 hour ride from Kathmandu. If you want to save some days, you can take a Jeep from Besisahar to Chame. This ride will effectively save you 2 to 3 days of trek. But please note that the availability of Jeep ride is subjected to season and condition of the road. If you are lucky, you can get to Chame from Kathmandu in a day using vehicles.

The trail has numerous tea houses available for meals and accommodations. No tents or camping is necessary if you are following the trail.
